Inuit communities have some of the highest rates of hearing loss in Canada and throughout the world, particularly among Inuit children. That’s why we created Tusaajuit.
About Us
Our Mission& Vision
Tusaajuit bridges the gap between educational and health care services by giving community members access to educational resources about hearing loss and facilitating access to hearing care.Tusaajuit will address the root causes of hearing loss by focusing on prevention. It aims to reduce the long-term impacts of hearing loss and improve the well-being and social integration of hard-of-hearing individuals.

The AIP is the largest annual prize in Canada. By celebrating and providing seed-funding to Northern teams with innovative project ideas, the AIP supports Northerners in bringing initiatives to life that bring about the changes they want to see in their communities.

What We Do
Tusaajuit takes on a community wide approach in its mission to prevent hearing loss. We are also present to support the hard of hearing and their family members in their journey towards better hearing care. We act as a year long support cast for hearing care for Nunavik & its communities.

Tusaajuit is currently seeking to grow its network of partners, donators & collaborators. Either on the Nunavik region-wide level, or a community based level, we are looking for supporters in all cases.
